It is intended for use as reference material by physicians and other health care professionals. I am an endocrinologist at the University of California Los Angeles and this material is used to train internal medicine residents rotating through endocrinology. The file is based on current medical literature and describes normal events of menopause with an in depth discussion of hormone replacement therapy, focusing on the benefits and risks of HRT, side effects, the role of progesterone in HRT, transdermal hormone replacement therapy, testosterone issues, and low dose hormone replacement therapy.
